The RCS is the new concept developed by Google to replace traditional SMS, previously we explained what the new concept is, today we will see how to force the installation of RCS.

How to install RCS on any Android smartphone

  1. Disable WiFi on your smartphone to force it to use operator data
  2. Verify that you are using Google Messages to send/receive SMS
  3. Go to the Play Store and search for Google Messages
  4. In the app's page, scroll down and click on Join Beta
  5. Go to another page of the Play Store and then return to Google Messages: an update should be proposed to you
  6. Restart your smartphone
  7. Go to Settings> Applications
  8. On Samsung smartphones, delete the cache data associated with the Carrier Services app (if the app is not in the list, install it from the Play Store)
  9. Delete cache data from Google Messages beta
  10. Install the Activity Launcher app from the Play Store

  1. Open Activity Launcher
  2. At the top of the window, click the down arrow and select All Activities
  3. Scroll down the application list to Android Messages
  4. Android Messages Touch Set RCS Flags
  5. Touch ACS URL and enter the following address: http://rcs-acs-prod-us.sandbox.google.com/
  6. Touch OTP Pattern and select the only option from the list
  7. Touch Apply
  8. Go to Settings> Applications> Google Messages
  9. Force stop the application
  10. Open Google Messages
