Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is Assassin’s Creed with vikings

Ubisoft has officially announced the following game in the long series Assassin's Creed: Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which adds the Vikings to the world's first historic killing simulator.

There aren't many details on Valhalla yet - Ubisoft has just released an initial teaser (created on the live broadcast of Kode Abdo, also known as Bosslogic).

But the promotional art shows the Scandinavian-inspired decor for the upcoming game, including a bearded Viking warrior and a clip holding an ax that is certainly not Kratos from the 2018 God of War film.

However, if art is something that should pass, it looks like the elements of the martial series, hidden assassination, and maritime exploration will return on the next outing. A full trailer of the game was revealed on April 30 at 11 a.m.ET.

Valhalla represents the latest game in the series since Assassin's Creed Odyssey in 2018, which added a variety of new RPG-style mechanics to the series for the first time.

Ubisoft didn't release a new title in the series in 2019, instead of using the time to continue Odyssey's support with updates and working on the next game in the series.

Ubisoft has not yet announced the release date for Assassin's Creed Valhalla or any platforms that will be available - including whether it will be available in the next generation Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

Fix: The next generation of the unpublished console from Microsoft is Xbox Series X, not Xbox One X, as this article originally said.
