HomeKit compatible accessories are delivered with a specific QR code and an 8-digit number for configuration.

Fortunately, if you do not have a QR code, it means that it does not work or does not appear as a "device nearby", you can still manually add a HomeKit device using only the 8-digit code on iPhone and iPad.

From now on, if you're looking for an easy way to store your HomeKit codes so that you don't have to enter the details manually, HomePass is a great option to do it right on your iPhone.
