If you want to try it yourself but you don't have an official console in Stadia, luckily you don't have to stop it.

You can, of course, buy one from Google if you wish. And if you want to play wirelessly on Chromecast Ultra, the company's Stadia console is currently the only option to do so.

But on PC and mobile, the service works with the most popular console game consoles, including the Xbox One console and the PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 console. It will work even for consoles dating back to Xbox 360.

For the most part, support for Stadia's wired and wireless console is good, but not perfect. For example, Stadia supports some wireless controllers, but others may need to be physically connected to function as expected.

Whether it works wirelessly or not, it may be due to the device you're playing on: a Windows 10 / Linux / macOS computer running Google Chrome OS or one of the few supported devices running Android 10.

It's a bit complicated, but below we try to make it easy for you in a few steps to connect popular consoles to Stadia on any supported device.
